The Vizions Safety Management Program is designed to be another management area that the owner and general contractor can review and manage just like the other critical tasks in a construction project. This is how it works:
Individual Project and Safety Management Program Evaluation
Before the Project starts, Vizions staff members visit the client and the project site to evaluate first hand the nature of the risks involved and to review the safety management practices and procedures of the client. A report is prepared with observations and recommendations.
Safety site inspections
Vizions has a safety inspection system that relies on metric-based scores for nearly two hundred safety categories. The scores are tracked on these categories over time. Vizions Safety Management Inspectors are trained in construction safety management concepts and are trained on our metric-oriented inspection system. Vizions Safety Management Inspectors are also bilingual/bicultural to help navigate through the current changes in the resource pool.
OSHA Training
On site Safety Training Services and Programs by OSHA certified trainers are available.
Addresses All Project Safety Needs
Our 13-step process assures you that every aspect of safety is being addressed, including:
- Safety program policy statement documenting the owner’s emphasis on safety and responsibilities for implementation.
- Safety management, providing a summary of the entire Contractor Safety Management Process.
- Roles and responsibilities for all individuals and entities involved in the process.
- Safety pre-planning during the planning stages to develop a safety plan for use during construction.
- Safety prequalification, comparing each contractor’s past performance to safety criteria.
- Contractor negotiation process for safety requirements that detail expectations and how safety information will be collected.
- Contract document detailing safety requirements in writing.
- Site communication to detail how safety information will be shared with on-site contractor supervision.
- Site orientation, spelling out how safety information will reach contractor personnel.
- Pre-job hazard analysis, documenting hazard identification and corresponding safety efforts.
- Contractor incident investigation to document root causes and determine corrective and preventive actions.
- Verification procedures to audit contractor implementation of training, substance abuse, and field practice requirements.
- Safety communication, detailing the network for communicating safety information.
