Maintenance Services
Spring Clean Up
Designed to address winter wear and tear and rejuvenate your landscape for the growing season. Offered in late winter. During the Spring Clean Up, we'll clean, weed and mulch your planting beds, detail any perennials needing attention, and prune as seasonally recommended to freshen your landscape and prepare for greener days to come.
Detail Visits
General maintenance and upkeep visits help to keep your property well groomed throughout the growing season. Our regular Detail visits, scheduled as needed between other services, allow us to prune, weed and care for your entire landscape as the need arises, keeping your yard looking its best throughout the year.
Fall Clean Up
Our Fall Clean Up service puts your garden to bed for the year and prepares all features of your landscape for winter. Service begins in October, the perfect time to clear your landscape of overgrowth, clean out all existing beds, prune all shrubs, and cutback your perennials as needed for the change of seasons. A light dusting of mulch on all planting beds completes the service.
Mowing Services
Full service grounds maintenance and policing, including cutting of all turf area to appropriate height depending on weather conditions, line trimming and blowing of all hardscape areas, and mechanical edging of sidewalks, curbs, and driveways as needed.
Debris Removal and Site Clean-Up
These are year round site policing services such as debris removal and clean-up.
Leaf Removal
Removal of leaves from the turf and planting beds once in November and once in December. Price to be quoted in fall to more accurately reflect condition of the property at that time.
Leaf Management
Management of leaves on turf areas in conjunction with mowing. Additional charges for leaf management are projected using data on normal mowing service time values and your site's canopy coverage.
Turf Services
- Pre-emergent
Application of pre-emergent herbicides to the turf areas. Application also has fertilizer Component which provides for early spring color in the turf.
- Broadleaf Weed Control 1
Application of post-emergent herbicides to the turf areas. This is a full broadcast service. Service occurs in late April/early May.
- Broadleaf Weed Control 2
Application of post-emergent weed controls to the turf areas. This is a spot application. Service occurs in August.
- Turf Fertilization-Fall
Application of fertilizer to the turf areas in late summer/early fall.
- Turf Fertilization-Winter
Application of fertilizer to the turf areas in the late fall.
- Aeration
We mechanically break through the thatch layer and remove 2-3" core from the turf. This allows air, water and nutrients to flow freely into the root system of the plants. Best performed in the fall, this service will give new vigor to tired turf.
- Broadcast Overseeding
Performed in conjunction with the core aeration, application includes 3-4 lbs. of seed per one thousand square feet of turf area. This service allows us to introduce new seed varieties into the turf and to make the lawn more resistant to environmental stresses.

- Spring-Pansies
- Summer- Begonias, flowing vinca, impatiens, new guinea impatiens, geraniums, ` petunias, and tropical material.
- Fall-Pansies, mums and bulbs.
- Winter- Winter pansies, ornamental cabbage.
Tree & Shrub Services
- Tree Pruning
Pruning will occur during the fall and winter months when trees are dormant. This service includes the removal of dead or diseased branches, crossing branches, and those not consistent with the species. This service is done on all branches that can be reached from the ground wit a pole pruner.
- Tree Fertilization
We offer deep-root feeding of trees to optimize the nutrient availability and health of your trees.
- Shrub Pruning
Informal shrubbery will be hand pruned and all formal shrubbery will be sheared. All flowering shrubs will be pruned after bloom.
- Shrub Fertilization
Application of 14-14-14, a Lesco product designed to provide superior nutrient availability during all stages of a plant's life. We use this product on all groundcovers, shrubs, perennial and annual flowers. Holly-tone plant food will be applied to all ericaceous plantings that require a lower pH.
- Horticulture Oil Application
Application of insecticidal oils to treat dormant pests; allows for effective control with minimal impact on desirable species.
- Insecticide Application
We offer a complete range of insecticide treatments. The product and timing of the application will be determined by our representative.
- Fungicide Application
Fungus problems can cause severe damage to plantings. This insidious group of pests often work undetected until damage appears in the planting and we are forced to aggressively pursue the problem. If you believe that you have a problem please call one of our representatives to diagnose and offer solutions.
Erosion Control/Slope Stabilization
The Challenge in Erosion Control or Slope Stabilization is to protect/retain the topsoil and landscape areas at risk. Keeping the topsoil in place and containing sediment can be accomplished through a number of methods including plantings, structural solutions, terracing, rock protection and seeding.
Vizions can address the critical areas with a blend of human ingenuity and proven techniques that produce results that are as aesthetically pleasing as they are effective.
All plans are customized and all solutions unique since there is no one way to stabilize areas subject to erosion. Our team will assist you throughout the process from evaluation to planning, to permitting and installation of required work.
