Vizions facilitates the decision-making process by delivering services in the mode that best suits a client’s needs—from traditional design-bid-build to any variation of design/build. Our flexibility is not limited just to delivery systems; Vizions is also adept in different construction management roles. We are as comfortable functioning as an agency’s construction manager as we are in the role of construction-manager-at-risk.

No matter what delivery system we use or what role we serve, our goals are always the same: reduce total delivery time, minimize conflicts and costly delays, and bring projects into revenue service at the earliest practical date.

Other clients bring us in when construction starts so that we can provide continuous field supervision and monitoring. Business as Usual: Operations Unimpeded By Construction

Vizions has long been accustomed to working for owners who don’t have the luxury of closing their facilities to accommodate construction. Instead, we accommodate our clients by maintaining operations during construction using a variety of techniques: work-arounds, off-peak-hour construction, comprehensive staging, decking over excavations, and contractor incentives.

Owners rarely have the luxury of building on open stretches of land unhampered by neighboring structures or the presence of historic and archaeological sites. And most projects are also affected by environmental constraints and community concerns. Difficult building sites present  challenges, but with the right construction manager, these challenges need not become insurmountable obstacles.

Cooperation and Partnering

With the right process in place to manage changes and claims on a construction project, litigation and arbitration can be greatly minimized, if not altogether averted. Vizions works diligently to avoid losses by minimizing the conditions that causes disputes. We also employ a variety of cooperative alternatives to litigation, including mediation, disputes resolution boards, and partnering. We routinely practice the attributes that make for successful partnering—a leadership style that accepts and encourages mutual respect, trust, participation, teamwork, and effective relationships.
